matt. not sure where you get your information about number plates in the USA, last time I checked, which was not that long ago, all the cars I saw in the USA on youtube and american retailers – all show rooms I looked at showed cars with front number plates….
Can’t stand digital dials! I’m driving a car not an arcade driving game. All this fakery just goes with today’s fake world of fake people. I wanna see the real exhaust not crappy bits of plastic.
Had the previous A3 with the 2 litre diesel 150hp engine. Hated the wheel hop under heavy acceleration…
the brake pad boost thing is a good idea… should help with cutting brake dust a bit. … gas strutt on the bonnet has always been A3 fitted.

Ive had one as a courtesy for a month as a replacement for a 123d, its nasty to drive, gearbox feels horrible and cornering its just too bouncy… just a bog standard commuting car
I think the saloon looks better than the hatch, but the lower quality cabin materials and the reflections from the angled display do concern me, that is daily rubbish you will have to deal with evertime you drive the thing, its these items that make the difference between having a good ownership experience or not, how it looks outside with the fake vents does not impact the driver when they are going from A to B. Audi have made an error.
Currently driving a new A3 35 TDI S-Line whilst my 2020 A4 Avant 35 TDI Technik is in for a service.
Some nice features on the S-Line spec but it is a big step down in refinement and comfort from my A4. Noticeably more wind and road noise and slightly down on power and torque. I also prefer the interior on my A4, as it looks more grown up and classy. Not a fan of the hard suspension either on the S-Line.
Nice car but looking forward to getting my A4 back.

All old technology my o9 a3 tfsi had all this and more on my jap import old tec in a new chassis oh ye it has gas bonnet struts and the 12 volt socket in the back and was dsg box

Love the exterior (fake exhausts aside) and like the physical heating controls, but not fond of the "look" of the interior, especially the air vents (though I am sure their position makes them effective).

Old model is much better looking, this one is full of fake vents, disproportionate plastics, its generally so ugly looking when compared to last gen ageless, dynamic, mildly agressive design.
